Join the MIT Enterprise Forum of Texas to hear Kemal Anbarci,  Managing Venture Executive of Chevron Technology Ventures, discuss what Chevron is doing to support Entrepreneurs and identify new Technologies and Ventures in the energy, oil, and gas arena.  The Catalyst Program focuses on accelerating the maturation of early-stage companies working on technologies that can directly benefit the oil and gas industry. These include “smart” oil field equipment, advanced materials, water technology and IT software/hardware, among others. Candidate companies are expected to be beyond seed stage with plans to raise additional venture capital in the near future.

Kemal Anbarci

Chevron Technology Ventures

 

Kemal Anbarci is the vice president and managing executive of the Venture Capital Business Unit at Chevron Technology Ventures. In his role he is responsible for using venture capital as a conduit for integration of new technology solutions into Chevron operations.

He has been with Chevron for over 27 years and during that time he has held a variety of upstream responsibilities including assignments in field development, reservoir engineering, corporate and strategic planning, non-operated joint venture management, business development and technology management in La Habra, San Ramon, Perth and Houston. Most recently Kemal was the Resource to Reserves to Production (R2R2P) and Technology Manager for Southern Africa SBU.  He sits in several portfolio company boards.

Kemal received his MS in Operations Research, and MS and PhD degrees in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and his MBA from University of California, Irvine.  He holds a B.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey.

Kemal joined Chevron Technology Ventures as vice president in 2013.
