Impending "Cap and Trade" legislation, which would mandate steep reductions in CO2 emissions, will have a dramatic impact on today's carbon-based energy economy. Despite the high stakes, different scientific inquires seemingly support contradictory conclusions regarding CO2's role. Dr. Economides will explore such questions as: "How can such differences be explained?", and "Where is more research needed?"

Dr. Economides gained international recognition following his 2000 best seller, The Color of Oil. With 14 textbooks and over 200 journals to his name, he casts a commanding presence in the fields of petroleum, gas reservoir, and production engineering.
